The FIA have agreed a peace deal today in Paris which is acceptable to the Formula 1 Teams Association members. This includes cost cutting measures. Max Mosley will therefore not be seeking reelection.

FOTA | Silverstone Grand Prix | 2010
So after all Silverstone may have a Grand Prix. The FOTA teams can race there and the FIA can go to Donington.
It will be interesting to compare attendance figures. As noted in the previous post the other circuits who have yet to arrive at a deal for 2010 with the FIA can join in too.

FOTA Breakaway

It looks like the last post was more real than imagined at the time of writing.
FOTA have met and agreed terms of a breakaway series.
Let's see what today brings. No doubt the lawyers will be sharpening their pencils to consider who had signed up for the 2010 series and what compensation is due or obtainable. Notably it is alleged that Ferrari, Red Bull and Toro Rosso have a long-term agreement with the FIA which must be honoured.

Grand Prix 2010
OK I am wound up for this one...
Here's a proposal - Ferrari, Renault, Toyota, BMW, McLaren and Brawn race in 2010 at Silverstone, Imola, Spa, Estoril, Adelaide, Indianapolis, Hockenheim and Magny Cours. Hopefully Williams, Red Bull and Force India can join in too. Lotus and Brabham would add some famous old names into the mix.
Does that sound like a sane solution? I for one would watch it.
Then Team US F1, Campos and Manor can fight it out for the FIA championship at the other circuits booked for next year.

Brabham Back In F1
The Brabham family are not keen but the Brabham name has been touted as a possible introduction back into F1 for next year
having been bought by a german businessman. Of course Bernie Ecclestone was once team principle...

Will Jenson Button Stay in F1 with BrawnGP?
This has become a hot topic - after so much success Jenson Button is likely to be in demand by other teams.
However he appears to value loyalty after so many years with BAR and Honda and has acquired a lot of goodwill for that attitude. This is true both in its own right and in stark contrast to some of his rivals.
Whilst other teams may offer greater financial reward there is an opportunity to start a run of success in partnership with Ross Brawn.
